Rowan is a theatrical sound designer and audio engineer, though she could be convinced to play with sound in just about any context. She and her border collie, Apollo, are currently based out of Southeastern, PA. Rowan has had the privilege of making sound come out of speakers in Seattle, South Dakota, Tennessee, and many places in between. Rowan's design for The Night Witches won Best Sound Design, Division II at the 2026 Ostrander Awards in Memphis. Her sound design for Murder on the Orient Express at The Black Hills Playhouse won Broadway World South Dakota's Best Sound Design of a Play or Musical in 2025. Rowan holds an MFA in Sound Production, Design, and Technology from the University of Memphis, TN, and a BA in Theatre from Northwestern College in Orange City, IA.
